Electronic-grade chemicals serve as the core foundational raw materials for the semiconductor and electronic material industries. Their production processes impose extremely stringent standards on fluid transportation equipment, requiring zero-leakage delivery of high-purity and highly corrosive media, freedom from metal ion contamination, and long-term stable operation of the entire production system to ensure one-time successful feeding and startup of projects. Recently, a total of58 magnetic pumps customized and supplied by our company for a large-scale electronic-grade chemicals new project in Henan have completed on-site commissioning with full success at the first attempt, fully supporting the official startup and production of the complete plant, and building a solid core guarantee for stable operation of the production line.
Project Background
As a key new material engineering project in Henan Province, this electronic-grade chemicals project covers multiple process units including reaction, rectification, purification and process circulation transportation. The production media mainly include high-purity organic solvents and highly corrosive acid-base reagents, featuring high purity, strong corrosiveness and partial flammability and explosibility.
The project is characterized by complex process pipelines, a large number of pump equipment and wide working condition spans, which pose huge challenges to equipment type selection accuracy, batch manufacturing consistency and on-site commissioning coordination capabilities. Any equipment faults such as leakage, flow and head deviation or secondary medium contamination will directly affect the purity of electronic chemical products, cause equipment shutdown risks, and even delay the overall project startup, resulting in substantial economic losses. Traditional mechanical seal pumps are prone to shaft seal wear and leakage, failing to meet the long-term safe and stable production requirements of electronic-grade chemical processes.
After multiple rounds of technical comparison and working condition demonstration, the customer finally selected our magnetic pumps as the core fluid transportation equipment for the entire plant, with a total procurement of 58 units, covering full-process working positions such as feeding transportation, process circulation, rectification reflux and waste liquid transfer.
Customized Solution
Targeting the core requirements of zero leakage, anti-corrosion and high purity for electronic-grade chemical projects, our technical team conducted in-depth docking with the design institute and the customer’s process department. We sorted out the medium composition, temperature, pressure, flow rate and head parameters of each working position one by one, and formulated differentiated customized selection solutions for different working conditions:
1. Magnetic drive structure for zero leakage Adopting magnetic coupling transmission and eliminating mechanical dynamic seals, the pumps fundamentally avoid the risk of medium leakage. They are perfectly adapted to the transportation of high-risk and high-purity chemical media, ensuring on-site production safety and preventing external impurities from contaminating raw materials.
2. Special material configuration for electronic-grade working conditions The wetted parts are precisely matched with professional materials according to different medium characteristics, effectively preventing metal ion precipitation, meeting the high-purity production standards of electronic chemicals, and resisting long-term erosion of highly corrosive media to extend equipment service life.
3. Strict quality control for batch manufacturing In the batch production stage of 58 magnetic pumps, every unit has passed hydraulic performance testing, magnetic torque verification and pressure tightness testing. We strictly control the machining precision of parts to ensure consistent performance of all batch equipment and eliminate commissioning risks caused by individual equipment differences.
4. Full-process professional technical services We provide one-stop service covering early working condition confirmation and pipeline matching guidance, complete technical documents before equipment delivery, and on-site engineer support throughout equipment installation, pipeline purging, single-unit test run and system linkage commissioning.
Project Delivery & One-Successful Commissioning
After phased delivery to the site, the 58 magnetic pumps were distributed on different floors and process units of the plant due to the complex pipeline layout and scattered working positions. Our on-site engineers maintained close collaboration with the customer and construction team, verifying pipeline connection, motor rotation direction and inlet/outlet status pump by pump, and eliminating potential risks such as cavitation and pipeline pressure holding. All equipment was put into commissioning in an orderly manner.
Through efficient and standardized on-site work, all 58 magnetic pumps passed commissioning successfully at the first time. All operating parameters including flow rate, head, vibration and temperature fully complied with design standards, with zero leakage and abnormal noise. The equipment successfully supported the full-load feeding and startup of the entire production plant.
The one-time successful commissioning of batch equipment greatly shortened the project debugging cycle, guaranteed the project’s scheduled commissioning and production, and won high recognition from the customer and design institute.
